UCF: A LOSS AT WR

ORLANDO - Coach George O'Leary said the Knights are fortunate to have good depth at wide receiver.

Starting WR Brian Watters suffered ligament damage in his toe against Southern Miss and will miss two to four weeks. WRs A.J. Guyton, Jamar Newsome and Quincy McDuffielikely will see more playing time against Buffalo on Saturday.

"It has an impact," O'Leary said. "Any time you lose experience, you don't like to see that. But I think the big thing is we have enough guys. That's one position where we've got some depth at, so another guy can step up to the plate.

"I always tell them, you're an ankle away from playing, so be ready. That's what it amounts to right now."

Guyton said the other receivers know they have to step up.

"It's hard to lose someone as good as Brian, but we all want to make plays," he said. "We want to help the offense take off."
