Jeff Fisher's attempt at humor by donning a Peyton Manning Colts jersey at a charity fundraiser isn't being received well by fans upset over an 0-6 start. But the Titans coach isn't backing down. Fishersaid Wednesday that he wanted to bring some levity to his introduction of former Colts coach Tony Dungy at a fundraiser. While saying, "I just wanted to feel like a winner," he revealed the jersey. "It was for a very, very worthwhile cause, charity," Fisher said on his radio show. I really apologize if I offended anybody. But if you're offended over the nature of that type of thing, then I think you need to rethink things."

ESPN analyst goes off the air over affair
ESPN baseball analyst Steve Phillips acknowledged having an affair with a co-worker and has taken a leave of absence. ESPN said it took "appropriate disciplinary action" when it happened in August but did not specify. Police say Brooke Hundley, 22, a production assistant, began calling Phillips' wife on Aug. 5 after he broke off the affair. She also allegedly sent her a letter graphically describing their relationship and saying "we both can't have him." Marni Phillips has since filed for divorce. Phillips, 46, is a former Mets GM. In 1998, he admitted having sex with a team employee, who sued for sexual harassment. That case was settled out of court.
