USF faces a ranked team for the third consecutive week and fourth time this season. (Before 2009, it had never faced more than three in aseason.) The Bulls previously won at Florida State and lost at home to Cincinnati and at Pittsburgh. USF hasn't lost consecutive home games since joining the Big East in 2005, a span of 26 games. West Virginia is the only school to lose twice to USF while ranked (No. 7 in 2006 and No. 5 in 2007).

WHAT TO WATCH FOR ...
After missing six games with a sprained knee, Jamar Taylor rushed for 28 yards on five carries last week. He could give USF offensive balance and be a spark on kickoff returns. ... West Virginia will look often to Jock Sanders, left, a St. Petersburg Catholic graduate who has 53 catches for 514 yards and two touchdowns. ... Another St. Petersburg standout, Gibbs' Jerrell Young, could make his third career start, having recovered from a broken arm suffered in USF's opener. Last week, he had six tackles off the bench.
