HUMAN REMAINS MAY BE THOSE OF MISSING WRITER

Authorities found human remains Wednesday afternoon off Foamflower Boulevard in the Angus Valley area, and are working to determine if they belong to Stephen Perry, the former writer of the 1980s cartoon series Thundercats. Perry, 56, disappeared last month, and after officers found his abandoned van and a severed arm at a Tampa hotel May 16, Zephyrhills Police began treating the case as a homicide. Perry's Zephyrhills home had been ransacked, authorities said. His two roommates - James and Roxanne Davis - were arrested on unrelated charges and remain in the Pasco County jail. Capt. Robert McKinney said both are persons of interest in the apparent homicide. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is analyzing the remains, McKinney said.

Man charged with domestic battery

A woman told officers her husband tried to strangle her Wednesday afternoon. "Arrest me," Christopher L. Bukowski, 39, told officers, according to a report. "I did it." The New Port Richey Police Department did not say what caused the argument between the couple, who have been married five years. While the officer gathered paperwork for the investigation, Bukowski said, "I choked her," the report states. "I asked him why he did it and he stated, 'If you were married, you would understand,'" the officer wrote. Bukowski of 6929 McBride Court was arrested and charged with domestic battery by strangulation. He is being held without bail at the Pasco County jail.
