Mel Gibson's breakup with Oksana Grigorieva has taken a turn for the worse, with Mel filing a restraining order against her. Or was it she who filed one against him? RadarOnline says Gibson sealed paperwork in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, but TMZ says Grigorieva got a domestic violence restraining order against him. She was served on Wednesday, but we won't see the details, thanks to Mel putting them under lock and key. Radar says Gibson's complaint is a temporary restraining order, a court hearing notice and a notice of visitation rights and child custody over 7-month-old daughter Lucia. TMZ notes this was in reaction to Grigorieva filing the order against him. And what would Grigorieva be upset about? Apparently some "extremely violent" incidents back in January. Another source points out that "there were other acts after January that were not physical but still constituted domestic violence."

Jackson may take on 'Hobbit'
Remember the news that Guillermo del Toro had given up on directing The Hobbit? Well buck up. His replacement might be Peter Jackson. The Hollywood Reporter says Jackson has been in talks for the last week or two about helming the J.R.R. Tolkien tale, split into two movies. Obstacles to such a deal include a schedule that would let Jackson fast-track the two movies for 2012 and 2013 releases and the financial ills of Hobbit owner MGM, which have delayed production and ran off del Toro.

So how much was Kerr's ring?
We've reported that Orlando Bloom and Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr were engaged, but we didn't tell you how much the ring cost. And how much that is depends on the source. While some websites initially said Kerr's giant diamond ring cost as much as $450,000, Us comes up with an estimate of $65,000. That's all? The 27-year-old Kerr and 33-year-old Bloom have been dating since 2007.
