Rose and William Blackwell of Pinellas Park celebrated their 50th anniversary at their home with family and friends.
They were married June 24, 1960, at St. James Episcopal Church in Ormond Beach and moved to the area on July 4, 1979, from Daytona Beach.
Blackwell served as paratrooper for the 101st Airborne Division and later went to work at Steak n Shake, where he met Mrs. Blackwell. He worked for Steak n Shake for 53 years, retiring as a district manager. She worked at Steak n Shake for 12 years and was a homemaker.
They have four children, 16 grandchildren, two great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters.

Joyce and Jerry Lane of St. Petersburg recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a surprise party at the home of their daughter.
Mrs. Lane moved to St. Petersburg in 1939 and graduated from St. Petersburg High School in 1956. Lane graduated from Lakeland High School in 1953 and is an Army veteran of the Korean War.
They met and graduated from Florida State University in 1960. They married June 17, 1960, at Fifth Avenue Baptist Church, St. Petersburg, and went on to live in St. Petersburg and establish a real estate business, which they still operate today.
Mrs. Lane is a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church and is a past member of the Junior Women's Club.
They have a daughter, Deborah; a son, Jerry Jr.; and a grandson Daniel.
