CITRUS WOMAN DIES IN SUNDAY WRECK

A 25-year-old Citrus County woman was killed Sunday when she was ejected from a car during an accident on Interstate 75, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Julianne Inwood was in the rear seat of the 2000 Ford Mustang when driver Sonia Lugo-Haviland lost control about 8:30 a.m., the Highway Patrol said. The car hit the median guardrail and spun around.

Inwood of Inverness was taken to Brooksville Regional Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The Highway Patrol said she wasn't wearing a seat belt.

Lugo-Haviland of Inverness, who also wasn't wearing a seat belt, was seriously injured. She was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa. Her condition wasn't immediately available.

A second passenger, 31-year-old Allison Torres of Inverness, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Brooksville Regional. The Highway Patrol said no charges had been filed, pending a toxicology report.
