ADAM, Thelma "Terri" age 74, of Tampa, died Tuesday, July 6, 2010. Mrs. Adam came to Tampa from her native, New York in 1965. She was a retired law secretary and worked for Morgan & Morgan. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Ernest Adam Jr. Survivors include her son, Eugene Adam of New Port Richey; daughter, Sharon Winkelpleck of Tampa; brother Samuel Aber of Long Island, NY and grandchildren, Sierra Iwanicki, David Adam and Michael Adam. Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) 10:30 am at Segal Funeral Home, 3909 Henderson Boulevard, Tampa. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. BALES, David "Wayne" 49, of Tampa, passed away June 20, 2010. Wayne was born in Zanesville, OH. He moved to Tampa in 1973. He enjoyed Nascar Racing, fishing, bike riding and music. He was preceded in death by his father, David J. Bales; paternal grandparents, David R. and Daisy P. Bales; maternal grandparents, Marcellous A. and Eula B. Rogers. Wayne is survived by his loving family and friends. BLANEY, James J. 85, Deacon of St. Luke Catholic Church, formerly of Diocese of Rockville Centre passed away on July 6, 2010. BROADWATER, Herman J. 85, of St. Petersburg, died July 4, 2010 at Bay Pines VA. He is survived by his wife Doris; 4 sons: Glen, Stewart, Lloyd, & Robert; and his caregiver Ted Lloyd. DADSWELL, Jack E. Jr. 86, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at Edward White Hospital. Born in Cincinnati, OH, he was brought to St. Petersburg when he was six months of age. He attended elementary school at Central Primary, located on the site now occupied by Pinellas County Building at 150 5th St. N. He attended St. Petersburg High School until Spring, 1943, when he was selected to enter officer training at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. After basic training at San Mateo, CA, he spent time in Midshipman training at sea in the Pacific. In 1945, he graduated with scholastic honors from the Academy and commissioned Ensign, USNR and USMS. In 1946, Jack entered St. Petersburg College for pre-law courses, where he would be elected President of the Student Body and the Honor Council. In 1947 Jack entered Law School at the University of Florida. Prior to graduation, he was recalled to active duty by the U.S. Navy, to serve in Korea. He served as tactical officer aboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt, 6th Fleet. In 1952, he re-entered the University of Florida, and graduated with his Doctorate degree in Jurisprudence. He opened a law office, and worked as a general practitioner. As a Lieutenant, USNR, Jack was appointed Commanding Officer, United States Naval Reserve Officer's Training School, St. Petersburg, consisting of more than 100 Naval Reserve Officer Trainees from Ensign to Captain. He later was appointed the rank of Lt. Commander. He was a member of the American Legion, National Group. His legal career led to positions of City Judge, Treasure Island, FL., City Attorney and City Judge, Town of Gulfport; and Assistant City Judge of the City of Madeira Beach. In 1963 he was appointed by Governor Farris Bryant to the position of Justice of the Peace, District One, Lower Pinellas County. He was later elected Circuit Judge, Sixth Judicial Circuit, State of Florida, serving in Civil, Criminal and Juvenile capacities until retiring in 1979. After a short hiatus, he was one of the first to become certified as a Mediator of Civil Litigation in Pinellas, Pasco, and Hillsborough Counties, which he held until 2002. In this interim, he helped to conclude, by agreement of all parties, nearly 3000 Circuit Court lawsuits, without need for a trial. He is survived by wife, Ruth Dadswell; son, Mark Dadswell; daughter, Lynda Yancey; son, John Dadswell, and son, Josh Dadswell; grandchildren, Drew Houston, Justin Dadswell, Chris Houston, Amber Yancey, Emma Dadswell, Robert Dadswell; great grandchild,Taylor Houston; sister-in-law, Gloria Robinson; two neices and so many friends and family. ENGELENBERG, Lema (Hawkins) passed away peacefully June 4th. She was preceded by her beloved husband Henry "Junior" Engelenberg and her siblings Evelyn, Sarah and Wesley. She graduated from St. Pete High School while working at Webb city. She attended Nurses training at Pensacola during WWII. After the war she married Junior and they started building houses together. They didn't have children but life was full of work, fun, dogs and caring for friends and family. She is survived by her nephew Albert, great-nephew Gabriel and great-niece Aleah. FINCH, Polly Maxine 94, formerly of Clearwater, died on Tuesday, July 6, 2010. Born in Largo, she was the pianist for Largo Baptist and a member of both Calvary Baptist and Skycrest Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Alex D. Finch, the first chief of detectives for Clearwater Police Department, former Mayor of Clearwater and practicing attorney in Clearwater for many years. GILBERT, Ronald Keith 62, of St. Petersburg passed away July 6, 2010. A native of St. Petersburg, Ronald was a graduate of Boca Ciega High School and worked at his family's jewelry store, Gilbert Jewelers, for over 40 years. He had an avid love for boating, fishing, Florida Gators, crossword puzzles and his pets. And more than that, he had a profound love for his family, friends and especially his two daughters. HUMISTON, David Walter 49, Johnson City, entered into rest, Thursday, July 1, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Humiston was a former resident of Largo before moving to Johnson City, TN. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jacqueline Lyne Bane Humiston. He was a former manager of Leverlocks Restaurant and The Fish House both in St. Petersburg. Mr. Humiston enjoyed his work as a manager and chef, traveling, music, and motor sports. His special love was his family and his Akita dogs. HUNT, John J. sailor, shipmaster, friend,beloved husband and fatherpassed away peacefully on July 4th, 2010 in Sun City Center.A true American hero, he was born in Cleveland, OH on May 1st, 1929 to mother, Marie and father, Ralph. John graduated from Bowen Navigation School in 1952.He served proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII.After which, he began a career in the American Merchant Marines, following the issuance of his U.S. Coast Guard papers in 1954.He advanced as a ship's officer from Third Mate through the ranks attaining the rank of Ship's Master in 1978. As Ship's Master, he sailed with a number of companies including Maritime Overseas, American Heavy Lift, and Glen Eagle Management. He was an honorary member of the Panama Canal Pilot Association and card carrying member of the Maritime Association of the Vietnam War Era Merchant Marines. John was instrumental in establishing American Heavy Lift, who he sailed for from 1985 through 1987. Following his service with AHL; his services were requested as Master with Glen Eagle Management in late 1987 in order to lead a convoy of ships into the Kuwait Gulf.On Oct. 16th of 1987, a silkworm missile fired by an Iranian soldier pierced the wheelhouse of the USNS Sea Isle City. This incident was the fuel that started Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm.Shattering glass blinded Captain Hunt and forced him into early retirement from active seafaring. John retired in November of 1988 and while his sight never returned to normal he led a full life in the Brandon, area. He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanie; his daughter Carla; stepson, Kirt, stepdaughter, Sheri; and three grandchildren. LARSEN, Kenneth R. of Ridge Manor, died on July 4, 2010. He was predeceased by his wife Betty Ann of 52 years in 2003. He was the son of the late Albert and Ruth (Hentz) Larsen of Meriden, CT. He went to Meriden Schools, the University of Connecticut and UCONN law school. He was a senior partner in a small law firm in Meriden prior to his retirement to Florida. He was an active member of the community in Meriden where served as the Spelling Bee Master for many years, a member of Civitan, and the First United Methodist Church of Meriden. After his retirement, he was active in the Lighthouse in Dade City, the Trilby United Methodist Church, and the local Christian Coffee House. He is survived by a son Kurt and his wife Jeanne of East Granby, CT; a daughter Sue Larsen of Meriden, CT, and six grandchildren Rebekah, Bruce, Randy, Jake, Monique, and Kristofer. At his request, there will be a memorial service at the Trilby United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 17, 2010, at 4 pm and no other services.

PANNIER, Fredrick Paul was born Aug. 24, 1951 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He spent his formative years in his much loved Buenos Aires, Argentina. During these years, the family periodically travelled to the States to visit grandparents, aunts and uncles on propeller planes, on the first jets, and on several ocean liners, before permanently relocating to the States with his family when he was 17 years old. He served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era in Fort Walton Beach, and in Thailand. Later, Fred studied photography at Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, CA, and moved to New York City upon graduation. He was self-employed and was fullfilled by his 20 year career in audio visual multimedia presentations for fortune 500 companies. His profession took him to resorts all over the world. He was a member of IATSE (International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees) and worked on a Broadway production. Fred is survived by his father, Frank Joseph; his mother, Madlyn "Kiki" nee Menendez; his siblings, Ginny, Alice, Brian, and Jon; and by his beloved son, William Forest Pannier who gave him his greatest sense of pride and joy. He was preceeded in death by his eldest brother, Frank Mario. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. STANLEY, Francis A. A long time resident of Gulfport, died July 6, 2010. He was born in Charlestown, MA and was a graduate of Suffolk University. TAYLOR, Judge Peter J.T. 83, of Tampa, went to be with the Lord July 3, 2010. He was born in Crookham, Northumberland, England and moved to Tampa when he was a few months old. He attended local schools, graduating from H.B. Plant High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1945-47 as a 2nd Lt. in Korea. He graduated from the University of Florida with a BSBA degree, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order, and from Stetson University College of Law, where he was designated "Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities." He practiced law in Tampa until being appointed a Circuit Judge of the 13th Judicial Court in 1983. During his tenure, he was appointed Administrative Judge of the Probate Law Division and the Family Law Division. While Administrative Judge in the Family Law Division, he helped implement and coordinate the court procedures regarding domestic violence safeguards. Judge Taylor was a member of the Florida Bar and all State and Federal Courts, the Hillsborough County and American Bar Associations, and the District of Columbia Bar Association, the Family Law Inns of Court of Tampa Bay and the American College of Probate Counsel. He was a member of Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church, the Scottish Rite, Holyrood Masonic Lodge, Egypt Temple Shrine and the St. Andrews Society of Florida. He was a former member of Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla, Tampa Yacht and Country Club, Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club, the Tampa Club and the Merrymakers Club. Judge Taylor is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jane; his daughters Carole T. Kirkwood and her husband, Dan, and Susan T. Schnitzlein and her husband, Paul; six grandchildren, Jim, Pete and Wendy Kirkwood and Ellen, Matt and Nathan Schnitzlein; his sister, Sarah Jane Taylor, all of Tampa, and his brother-in-law, Dr. James R.
