It is very frustrating when trying to delete a file and are told "you must have permission for this action." How can I gain permission on files on my own computer? I am using Windows Vista 64.
Some files are protected and/or owned by "TrustedInstaller" service, and you must first take ownership of them before deleting. First, make sure it is a file you can safely delete. Right-click on the file (or folder) and select Properties. Click the Security tab and then the Advanced button. Click the Owner tab. Under the "Change Owner To" section, select your user ID and click OK. Click Continue if prompted with the UAC dialog.

I followed your instructions for installing Microsoft security Essentials to a tee, and I'm all okay and set for the future. One thing that wasn't clear to me, after setting up Microsoft security Essentials and the firewall, should I have removed the Malwarebytes and the Combofix programs from my Desktop?
Malwarebytes and ComboFix run only when you run them. You can delete the links on your desktop if you don't like the clutter, but they will still stay installed under Programs if and when you ever need to run them again. Let's hope now that you're properly protected and using safe browsing/dowloading habits, you'll never need them again.

I have Windows XP with Outlook Express. Is it possible to create a new folder and move all the Sent messages at once, instead of one at a time?
In almost all Windows-compliant applications, including Outlook Express, you can click the first item to select it, hold the Shift key and then click the last item. This will select both items as well as all the ones in between. At that point you can either right-click and select "Move to Folder ..." or just drag them into the folder. If the items you want to select are not consecutive, hold the Ctrl key while you click the individual items.
