Two brothers from Clearwater were arrested late Sunday after a road rage incident turned violent, authorities say.
Adrian Precaj, 24, was charged with first-degree attempted murder after he shot at a man because of an argument at a gas station, police said.
His younger brother, Domeniko Precaj, 18, was charged with being a principal to attempted murder because he chased the victim and then drove his brother away after the shooting, arrest reports said.
The victim, who was not identified by police Monday, was not injured, said Largo police Lt. Mike Loux.
According to arrest reports, Domeniko Precaj was behind the wheel, and his brother, Adrian, was a passenger when the two got into an argument with a man in another vehicle about 11:15 p.m. at a gas station at Highland Avenue and Lakeview Road.
Police did not disclose the nature of the altercation.
The brothers followed the other driver to the area of Seminole Boulevard and Eighth Avenue SE, where the younger Precaj cut the man off, Loux said.
At that point, Adrian Precaj got out of their vehicle and shot numerous times at the man's driver's side door, arrest reports said. Domeniko Precaj waited for his brother to get back into the vehicle, and then the two fled.
The victim called police. Largo police asked other agencies to keep an eye out for the brothers, who were spotted soon after by Clearwater police near the place where the original argument had started.
On Monday afternoon, both men were being held without bail in the Pinellas County Jail. The brothers both live at 1613 Eden Court in Clearwater, according to arrest reports.
