USF softball hosts doubleheader vs. Notre Dame

We're off to a busy start this morning, with USF softball hosting an early doubleheader against Notre Dame, with the first game already underway after an 11 a.m. start. It's a huge day for Bulls softball -- USF and Notre Dame have combined for two Big East losses all season, so that total will double by the end of the day.

Forgot to post this last night, but in advance of today's doubleheader, we have a feature in today's Times on softball assistant Stacey Heintz and her husband, baseball assistant Chris Heintz, who do a good job of juggling their busy schedules with a young family. What you don't see in that picture of the two of them is that they pulled off those smiles while getting a steady barrage of grief from USF's baseball team, which was taking batting practice nearby on Tuesday afternoon. ...
