USF baseball has its first three-game sweep of the conference baseball season, rallying in the bottom of the ninth Sunday and winning 2-1 in the 11th to complete a home sweep of St. John's.

The Bulls (22-21, 11-7) are now tied for third in the Big East standings with three weekend series remaining. USF got strong pitching from starter Kyle Eastham, but trailed 1-0 in the ninth, loading the bases with no outs. The Bulls got the tying run on a sacrifice fly by Peter Brotons, but were unable to score again in the ninth. After two more scoreless innings from the bullpen, USF got the winning run, as Chad Taylor led off the 11th with a single, advanced on a groundout and scored on a two-out single by Junior Carlin.

For the three-game series, USF's pitchers allowed just three runs in 29 innings -- on Sunday, four relievers held St. John's to two hits and zero runs in the final five innings.
