Gator chomps on patrol car

[View in larger player]

A 10-foot gator tried to eat an Alachua County patrol car. Well, maybe it wasn't trying to eat the whole car, but it chomped down on the bumper of a Crown Vic and wouldn't let go until the deputy drove back several feet, Ocala.com reports.

The deputy had been called to the residential area because the gator was making people nervous.

The gator eventually was trapped, and nobody was hurt, though the patrol car's bumper was heavily damaged.
