Durant's Reinhardt signs with Bryan College

Published May 10, 2011

Durant High two-sport standout Kerrie Reinhardt, who helped lead the Cougars volleyball and golf teams to the region playoffs as a senior, has signed a volleyball scholarship with NAIA Bryan College in Dayton, Tenn.

According to her father, Reinhardt -- a home-schooled student with a 3.98 GPA -- has earned a Presidential Scholars Award and entrance into Bryan's honors program.

Reinhardt, who moved from the outside to middle blocker last fall, tallied 168 kills for the Cougars, who eventually fell to Lakeland in the Class 5A region finals. In golf, she helped lead a woefully short-handed Cougars squad to the 2A region tournament after placing fifth individually in the District 11 tournament in 2009.
