'Home Alone' house up for sale for a mere $2.4 million

While The Juice* feels no compunction to move to the town of Winnetka, Ill., we'd consider stopping by greater Chicagoland for a new house if it were, say, featured in 1990's Home Alone. All we need is a paltry $2.4 million; we should have that in Friday's paycheck alone, right?

The Georgian mini-manse on 671 Lincoln Ave. is now on the market, reports, featuring five bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, a sunroom, a fireplace and a detached garage, just a few blocks from Lake Michigan. Owners John and Cynthia Abendshien lived in the house during the movie's six-month shoot; their now-grown daughter even befriended Macaulay Culkin, but unlike Kevin's parents, they paid enough attention to her to prevent any trouble.

Most of the movie was shot using sets, although the house was prominently featured in the movie, of course. Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, tarantulas, paint cans, sheets of ice and the creepy old guy down the street who really isn't all that creepy once you get to know him will all have to be added by the new homeowners.
