Nicolas Cage won't be charged after drunken New Orleans fracas

So what if Nicolas Cage got drunk in New Orleans, yelled at (and possibly laid hands on) his wife Alice Kim, allegedly dropped his son Kal-El and ranted at police to take him into custody? That's just a normal day in the Big easy, so that's probably why he won't be charged with doing anything.

"The New Orleans District Attorney has confirmed that no charges of any kind will be pursued against him," Nic's attorney, Harry Rosenberg, tiold People on Friday. "After their investigation, the DAs refused all charges against Nick and the matter has been closed. We are pleased that the process led to the correct result, despite inaccurate media reports, and that Nick has been cleared and all charges have been dropped."

Considering his bad luck in real estate, tax law and role selection, we don't find it hard to believe that Cage was just having a bad night. But really, does he need to get in a stumbling shouting match with his wife over what house their staying at in New Orleans? Sure, people there are used to drunks rambling loudly at all hours, but have a little self-respect, man!
