CEO BUELL WILL LEAVE CATALINA

Catalina Marketing Corp., a St. Petersburg consumer products coupon distributor, said Dick Buell is leaving the company after seven years as chief executive.

In the interim, he will be replaced by George Off, one of the founders and a former CEO of the closely held company that has been figuring out where it fits into the changing landscape of coupon distribution that's starting to shift online.

Catalina, which maintains one of the world's largest databases of retail consumer spending, employs about 1,500 worldwide and generates about $600 million in revenue. The company was acquired for $1.5 billion in 2007 by Hellman & Friedman LLC, an investment fund that owns several market research firms, including TV ratings and packaged goods research giant Nielsen Co.
