UPDATE, 8:40: And it was indeed 8:40 for Josh Tomlin's first pitch, after a 1:35 rain delay.
UPDATE, 8:09: An 8:40 start is now projected here in Cleveland as the rain has apparently passed, and the grounds crew is removing the tarp.
UPDATE, 7:53: Now the tarp is on and it looks worse, though still not raining hard.
UPDATE, 7:18: Now hearing first pitch won't be before 8 p.m. It's not raining here, but there are some ominously dark clouds out beyond leftfield and obviously there is concern they are coming this way.
DEVELOPING: The Rays have had more than their share of rain delays in Cleveland over the years, and they are headed to another, at least due to the possibility of rain. The Indians have announced that first pitch will be delayed until 7:15.
