NOMINATIONS OPEN FOR THE NEXT 'GREAT BROOKSVILLIAN'

BROOKSVILLE

The city of Brooksville is accepting nominations for the next "Great Brooksvillian," who will be honored at a ceremony during the Founder's Week Celebration in October. The annual program recognizes outstanding individuals who have made significant positive contributions to the history, culture and/or economy of the community. Each year's honoree is presented with a plaque, and a perpetual plaque is maintained at City Hall. Nomination forms are available online at cityofbrooksville.us or at the City Clerk's office at City Hall, 201 Howell Ave. The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. June 17. Corrections

- The Crescent Community Clinic maintains a professional relationship with all three hospitals in Hernando County. Information in a story published Saturday was incorrect. Also, the social to recruit volunteers and raise money for the clinic will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Atria Evergreen Woods on Cortez Boulevard in Spring Hill. A different date was given in Saturday's story.

- Members of Gulf Coast Unit 27 of Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service chauffeured Navy admirals, among their many duties. The rank of those chauffeured was incorrect in a story published April 30.
