Hillsborough rising senior defensive back Anthony Brown recently received his first scholarship offer - that coming from Ball State -- and is expected to pick up more soon this spring, Terriers coach Earl Garcia said.
Purdue has also shown serious interest in the two-way player, and Garcia said the Boilermakers are close to making an offer.
Brown played both wide receiver and defensive back last season, but excelled most on defense, making 69 tackles and 1 interception for the Terriers. He is mostly being recruited as a cornerback.
The 5-foot-10, 170-pound Brown is also a stellar track sprinter -- placing third in the 100 meters and 200 meters in the Class 3A state meet last week.
