Quite a 'Catch' for store

West Marine's grand opening of its new 28,000-square-foot nautical supply store includes a weekend full of activities and seminars. There will be classes on kite fishing and bottom fishing, kids' fishing clinics and an autograph session with Mike Fourtner of Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catchfrom 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Strap on heels for a hike

Put on your pumps, heels and matching boas and tiaras, and join area divas for a 1K High Heel Hike to sashay through WestShore Plaza mall. Men have been known to show up in pumps, too. The event benefits Easter Seals Florida for Autism and Autism Related Disabilities. There is no minimum, but $100 in donations encouraged. Landmark scavenger hunt

The Quest for Hope Scavenger Hunt on Saturday hits more than 18 attractions, venues and historical landmarks in Ybor City and Channelside. Teams of five test their physical, intellectual and search skills to gather the most points and win. Each team must have a theme and dress in costume. Bark in the ballpark

Who cares about your bikini? Let's see what Pookums is wearing to the pooch pool. It's dog day at the ballpark, with a pregame yappy hour including a canine beachwear contest, limbo contest and other games. Plus, you and your dog can run the bases after the game. Pirates pillage and party

Ye Loyal Krewe of Samuel Bellamy invites all scalawags and scurvy dogs to join them for the Where's the Rum Gone? party and premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
