Zephyrhills' Lauren Pasquale signs with College of Charleston

Lauren Pasquale, a standout on the Zephyrhills softball team, has signed with the College of Charleston and will play for the Cougars next season.

Pasquale was the leading hitter for the Bulldogs this season, batting .414 with 14 doubles, 18 RBIs and 20 runs scored. She also served as the Bulldogs' pitching ace. In 122.2 innings, Pasquale compiled a 2.51 ERA and struck out 130 batters.

As a junior, Pasquale led Zephyrhills to the region semifinals with a 0.24 ERA in 147 innings pitched. She also batted .317 that season and was a St. Petersburg Times' All-North Suncoast first team selection.

The College of Charleston is a Division I school that plays in the Southern Conference.
