ALLISON, Don 77, of Largo, died May 12th, 2011, following a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Allison was born on June 6, 1933, in Springfield, OH. He served as a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War until 1955. More than anything, Don loved his wife of over 55 years, Patti. They spent many memorable years together, enjoying their family, the beach, and traveling the world. Don's second love was sports. For the past 15 years he served as a certified member of the ASA National Umpire's Association as well as a high school fast pitch softball tournament umpire across the state of Florida. Don is survived by his wife Patricia; daughters Kim Silva and Kristi Allison; grandchildren, Allison Silva, Amberlie Silva, Seth Allison and Thomas Freeman. She was involved in the Medieval Renaissance Festival. BONHAM, Dorothy Anita "Neetsie" 87, of Largo, died May 10, 2011. Anita was born in Tampico, Mexico. BUSCHENA, Arnold J. Jr (Arnie), 90, of Clearwater, passed away May 6, 2011. He was born in Winthrop, Mass. and was a veteran of WWII, severing in the U.S. Army Air Forces. He graduated from the University of Maine with a B.S. degree. He came to St. Pete in 1951 and came to Clearwater in 2001. He worked for Florida Power Corp; retiring after 31 years as a Transmissions Project Engineer. He was a 50 year volunteer in the B.S.A., were he held the Wood Badge and Silver Beaver Award. Survived by 2 sons Arnold J. III, Jacksonville, Paul F., Irvington, KY and a step-son Franklin C. Bowman, Clearwater. He had six grand children and eight great grand children.

CREWS, Ewell Gene Died April 23, 2011 at the University Community Hospital in Tampa. He was born Feb. 16, 1935 in Lamont, FL to the late Cora and John Crews. He was a star athlete at Hillsborough High School. after graduation he joined the U.S. Air Force and proudly served his country for over 23 years. He was a Vietnam veteran, awarded the Bronze Star Medal, and many other meritorious citations. He continued his love for country and military affiliation, by being an active member of the Temple Terrace VFW Post 10140, for many years, up until his death. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and step-father Cora & Peter Fernandez, wives, Beryl P. Crews (of 29 yrs) and Ellen B. Crews (of 6 years). He is survived by son and daughter-in-law Gerald and Kathleen Crews; grandchildren, Kevin, Daniel, Brandon and Kelsey Crews of Illinois; aunt,Louise Hemby and family of Temple Terrace; cousin (whom he considered a brother), James Sheldon Crews, wife Martha, sons Jim, Kim and families of Tampa, with many relatives throughout the south. FERNANDEZ, Michael 58, lost his courageous battle with cancer May 5, 2011. He left this world peacefully surrounded by his devoted and loving family. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Fernandez. Michael was born in Tampa, July 3, 1952. He is survived by his mother, Polly Fernandez; wife, Terry Rubio Fernandez; daughters, Michelle Fernandez, Morgan Rubio, and Miranda Jones (Nick); and son, Michael Elliott Fernandez; and granddaughters, Alivia Borger and Riley Rubio, who were by all accounts the greatest joys in his life. He also leaves behind brothers, David Fernandez (Zee) and Douglas Fernandez. Michael was a graduate of King High School and the University of Tennessee. In 1973 Michael joined his parents in the operating of the company they founded, ABC Auto Sales. Michael spent the next years building a family legacy with ABC, Best Auto Sales, ABC Re-marketing and with his brothers MDD Investment Company. Michael was well known among automobile dealer throughout Florida is widely respected for his business expertise and willingness to assist and advise others in his related trades. He is held in high regard by business associates, employees and extended family members alike. Though he was an astute business man, those who knew him best loved him for his caring ways and straight-forward manners, always open and transparent in his relationships, both business and personal. Michael's love for all things his children did led him to spend many happy years coaching his children at Northside Little League, ASA softball and AAU baseball teams. Michael was a proud member of the dads clubs at the Academy of the Holy Names, Gaither and Jesuit High Schools, and one of his fondest memories was being selected "Foxy Father" at AHN in 2002. "The family wishes to express our gratitude to all that cared for Michael in his 11 year cancer journey, Florida Cancer Specialist, Dr. Rafael Blanco and Kim Toup, and Dr. Xavier Prida, for his complete and total honesty." GUSTAVSEN, Carl David 58, of Tampa, passed away April 12, 2011. Carl was born on July 2, 1952 in Fort Sill, OK to Charles and Marion (Revels) Gustavsen Jr. He was a life long Tampa resident; he was a soldier in the Salvation Army. Carl graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1970 and was employed at Johnson Controls, formerly, Globe Union for 34 years. He was a dedicated body builder who trained alongside the top pro wrestlers. He was an avid gun collector, muscle car aficionado and a consummate prankster. Carl enjoyed helping others any chance he could, sneak in and not be noticed, served for a time in the Krewe of Shamrock. He received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army in September, 1972. "Big Papa" was loved more than he ever knew. HARRIS, Charles C. 80, of Belleair, passed away on Monday, May 9th at his daughter's home in Alachua. Chuck was born in Euclid, OH on July 15, 1930 to the late Alfred S. Harris, Sr. and Marie G. Harris (Barkley). In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his brother, Alfred S. Harris, Jr.; sister, Josephine H. Williams and stepfather, John W. Barkley. Chuck graduated from University School in Shaker Heights, OH and Williams College in Williamstown, MA. He was an avid sportsman, particularly enjoying sailing and golf. He was past Commodore of Clearwater Yacht Club, Florida Ocean Racing Association and Windjammers of Clearwater and a former board member of Pioneer Western Corporation, Western Reserve Life Assurance, and Morton Plant Mease Foundation. After retiring, his greatest joy was traveling the country in his motor coach with his beloved wife, Em, visiting historic sites, family and friends. KOENIG, Nathalie Venieri Born in Italy in 1922 and raised in France, Nathalie Venieri Koenig came to America in 1947 to marry former GI Herman Koenig, whom she had known during the war. Together they raised a family in the suburbs north of New York City. While raising three children in America, Nathalie also maintained close, active relations with her family in Europe. She and Herman traveled there often. Nathalie also cultivated countless friendships in America. She was known for her boundless creativity and tireless energy. After retirement she and Herman moved to Largo, where they enjoyed warm winters in the company of fellow northerners. After Herman's death in 2007, Nathalie moved to Texas to be close to her daughter's family. By then declining health had sapped her vigor and vitality. She is survived by the families of her daughter Claudette Cozzi, of her sons Will and Jacques Koenig, of her surviving sisters Rosette and Andree and of her deceased sisters Nora and Yvonne. Family and friends on both sides of the Atlantic are mourning her passing.

KOLSETH, Ruth Doris (VanMiddlesworth) 94, passed away May 7, 2011, at St. Mark Village, Palm Harbor. Born in Plainfield, NJ, Dec. 20, 1916, she received her RN degree from 5th Avenue Hospital, New York City, 1938. Ruth was dedicated to nursing and worked tirelessly for the renowned Dr. Robert S. Pottenger, and Robert S., Jr. in Pasadena, CA, where she participated in ground-breaking allergy testing studies. She added X-ray technician to her resume in later years. She moved to California in the '40s and retired to Bend, OR in the '80s, where she was an enthusiastic volunteer at the High Desert Museum. Her passion was learning about American Indians, studying their lives, understanding their tribal identities, and traveling Indian country. She moved to Florida in 1990, and was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Dunedin. Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Harold R. "Jack" Kolseth, 1990. She is survived by her loving family, son, Steve Kolseth, wife, Mary, Albany, OR; daughter, Carol Clark, husband, Douglas, Largo; grandson, Mark Duhn, wife, Debbie; great-grandchildren, Hailey and Joel, Junction City, OR, as well as step sons, Jack Kolseth (Phyllis) of Orlando, Carolyn, Karen and Shelley and David Kolseth (Virginia), Harrisburg, PA. LEVY, Rabbi Mordecai age 82, of Tampa, died Thursday, May 12, 2011. Rabbi Levy was born in Malden, MA and came to Tampa in 1986, from Lakeland. He was a Rabbi for over 50 years, presently serving Congregation Ohev Shalom in New Tampa and served as Jewish Chaplain to the James A. Haley VA Hospital. Rabbi Levy was a member, past board member and a dedicated scholastic resource to Congregation Kol Ami. He pursued learning at many levels having achieved numerous post graduate degrees including his PhD from Dropsie University in Philadelphia, PA. Rabbi Levy was also a veteran of the United States Air Force and proudly served his country during the Korean War. Survivors include his beloved wife of 55 years, Rana Levy; sons and daughter-in-law Baruch Levy, of Dunedin, Ramni Levy, of San Francisco, CA and Eytan and Sharon Brown-Levy of West Orange, NJ; grandchildren Gideon, Batya, Aviva and Mattan; and brother Stanley Levy of Delray Beach. He was a Plant Superintendent for the Caribou School System for over 45 years and was an Army veteran of WWII. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. RANES, Doyle 88, of Palm Harbor, passed away May 10, 2011. He moved here in 1995 from St. Louis and is survived by his loving wife of over 62 years, Marie; sons, John (Lynn) and Don (Debbie); daughters, Sue, Linda (Gregg), JoAnn (Kurt) and Nancy (Michael); 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. SANCHEZ, Soledad "Bebe" 95, of Tampa passed away on May 11, 2011. She was predeceased by her parents, Ramon and Felina Sanchez, her brothers, Manuel Sanchez (Hazel), Raymond Sanchez, her sisters, Camilla Lopez, Angelica Montes de Oca (Herbert), Onelia Sanchez and Mercedes Menendez (Mario). She is survived by her nieces, Adrienne Napoli (Don), Arline Hoskinson, Darcel Schouler (Bob) and Lisa V. Bernard (Scott); nephews, Jason Napoli, Gavin Napoli, grandnephew, Daniel Schouler; grandniece, Jacey Napoli and numerous cousins. Bebe was a true Ybor City native, born and raised in the same neighborhood all her life. Storytelling was her favorite pastime. Ybor City as it used to be, the people and events that made it what it was during her growing up years with her siblings. She loved sports including Yankee baseball, Buccaneer football and even wrestling. She could call up stats about any player like a sportscaster and many a day, screaming matches with the game she was watching and how the players were playing and always a comment on the inability of the coaches to do the correct placement of players and plays. Family gatherings always included poker with her siblings and brothers-in-law and best of all a platter of the best natilla (Spanish custard) in the city. She went peacefully and without pain and for that the family thanks all involved nurses, doctors in Emergency Services, CCU as well as in the inpatient care she received until her last day at St Joseph Hospital. A celebration of her long life will be held at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N Armenia Avenue, Tampa on Monday, May 16th from 10-11 am. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.

SHERIDAN, Mary Louise Moon "Mary Lou" of Fort Walton Beach, FL, passed away May 6, 2011 at FWB Medical Center. Mary Lou was born June 20, 1927 in Sussex, NJ, to the late Arnold & Josephine Moon. The family moved to East Orange, NJ, where she lived until she married in 1947. She and her husband were long term residents of Monmouth County, NJ and New Port Richey. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 57 years, Thomas Sheridan, and brother, Edward Moon. THREM, Angus Richard 74, passed away May 12, 2011. He was born in Grosse Point Woods, MI. He was a faithful servant to the Lord, he loved the outdoors, he also loved Florida's beautiful beaches.
