James E. Felmanis the recipient of the American Bar Association's (ABA) 2011 Grassroots Advocacy Award. Felman was recognized for his role as the ABA Criminal Justice Section Sentencing Committee co-chairman, where he testified numerous times before Congress in support of the decision to reduce the 100-to-1 disparity between crack and powder cocaine sentences through the Fair Sentencing Act of 2010.
