NOW ON TWITTER: 'DOC' GOODEN

Out of Bounds

Wonder what former star pitcher Dwight "Doc" Gooden is up to? Check Twitter. The Tampa native and former Hillsborough High standout opened an account - @DocGooden16 - and responded to skepticism about its validity by posing with an autographed sign, above. Gooden, 46, spent 16 seasons in the majors, earning NL rookie of the year honors in 1984 and the NL Cy Young in 1985 with the Mets. By the way, he'll appear soon on the VH1 reality series Celebrity Rehab.

Quote of the day

"I'm sure my coach was probably (upset). I mean, I would be, too. I'm sure the NFL is (upset), but I don't follow their rules anyway."

Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco after riding 1,500-pound bull Deja Blu at the Professional Bull Riders event Saturday in Duluth, Ga. Ochocinco lasted just 1.5 seconds before the bull bucked him. No comments so far from coach Marvin Lewis or the league.
