FRENCH, Thomas 83, of Apollo Beach, a Senior Master Sergeant, U.S. Air Force, who retired after 27 years of proud military service, was born Sept. 7, 1927, and went to be with Jesus on May 14, 2011. Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Patricia; daughters, Angelia, Deanna and son Tommy; brother David; sister, Maggie; daughter-in-law and grandchildren Trish, Christina and Emily. Born in Halifax, PA, he was a much loved husband, father, grandfather, businessman and friend, and a member of St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his dear wife of 60 years, Dot. He is survived by 2 sons, John (Kathleen) of CA, Robert (Maria) of TX; 3 daughters, Sharon (Larry) of CA, Susan (Doug) of WA, Mary Ellen of MA; and 6 grandchildren, Maryann (Kraig), Brian, Esther, David, Elizabeth and Anne. A Memorial Mass and celebration of Sal's life will be scheduled for Saturday, May 28 at 10 am at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church and burial will follow in Calvary Catholic at 1 pm. LONG, Henry Curtis Sr. Nov. 14, 1919 - Jan. 29, 2011 Henry Long was born in Atlanta, GA and grew up in St. Petersburg. He was a WWII veteran who served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne. Mr. Long was predeceased by his siblings, William G. Long and Martha Long Dann and his daughter, Linda Lee Long. He is survived by sons Henry Curtis Long, Jr., Stephen Allen Long, John David Long, and his daughter Shelley Long as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be held Friday, May 27th at 2 pm at Bay Pines National Cemetery with a reception following at 507 John's Pass Avenue, Madeira Beach.

MASHEK, Edward R. Sr. 93, passed away May 13, 2011. A native of Chicago, he had been residing in Clearwater for the past 20 years. He was predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Margaret F. Mashek. He is survived by his children, Edward Mashek, Jr. and June Lucas and his grandchildren. MOSS, Roseman Burnisee of Seminole, died Friday, May 13th. She was 87. Affectionately known to friends and family as "Bunky," she was a native of Woodfin in Buncombe County, NC and lived in Seminole since 1982. She was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church in Clearwater. Bunky was the widow of Robert Moss, who passed away in 1997. Surviving are three children, Barbara Susan Wilson of Reidsville, NC, Patrick Joseph Moss, of Newton, NC, and Natalie Moss Bond of St. Petersburg; a sister, Frances Rice of Seminole; plus one grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Millie, her devoted Shih-Tzu. Visitation held 12 noon, Tuesday, May 17th, until service time at 1 pm at Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home, where interment will follow. NAPP, Rose Veronica born Rose Veronica Danko Sept. 22, 1926, in Chicago to John and Rose Danko. Loving wife of 63 years to Ted Napp; devoted mother, proud grandmother, and great-grandmother. She moved with Ted to Dunedin in 1982, and became a devout and active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Parish. In 1985, Rose began her work with the Dunedin Youth Guild and committed her time and energy to DYG for over 25 years, serving twice as president. Rose was also asked to serve on the Board of Directors for the Dunedin Council of Organizations and did so for over a decade. She was elected president of DCO in 1994. She and Ted took great pride and delight in being Mr. and Mrs. Santa Clause in the city Christmas Parade and celebrating the season with their friends and families. In recognition of their years of service to the City of Dunedin, Rose and Ted were awarded the Delightful Dunedin Award, named as History Makers of the city, and elected to its Senior Hall of Fame. Rose loved to throw and attend a good party. Rose was loved by many and will be missed by all. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, May 19th, at 12 noon at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Dunedin. STRATTON, Joy Myra went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 29, 2011 at the age of 83. She was born on Sept. 15, 1927, in Cincinnati, OH and moved with her family to St. Petersburg, in 1961. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be truly missed by all that knew and loved her. Joy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Donald C. Stratton; her brother, Alan Price; sons, Steve Stratton and Marc Stratton; daughters, Kathy Clemens, Sally DeLeon and Wendy Weatherford. WHALEN, Robert "Bobby" Age 67, of Dunedin, passed on May 14, 2011, at his residence. Bobby was born in Long Branch, NJ and grew up in Red Bank, NJ before relocating to Florida. Bobby had a longtime successful career as a Thoroughbred Horseman on the U.S. east coast between New Jersey and Florida. He was a member of the Sons of American Legion Dunedin Post #275. Bobby is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cornelia Lee; brother, Lawrence Whalen; sisters, Marie Nesci and Diane Durdge and many nieces and nephews.
