BROWN, Charles E. Jr. born Jan. 22, 1953, in Clearwater. Passed away May 4, 2011. Charlie had a strong love for God and for all his family. He will be forever loved and missed.

BROWN, Irene Mary passed away May 14, 2011, after 101 years of a grand life. She was born in England and came to America in 1913, with her parents, Mary and Ted Mortimer. She is predeceased by both parents and husband Lyle. She leaves behind her daughter, Beverley (Don) Peters and three grandchildren, Chris and Brian Merrill and Michelle Peters. A special thanks to Bayshore Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center for their wonderful care. A very special thanks and appreciation to Angela Lee for 10 years of companionship and caretaking. CROBAUGH, Clarence P. Of Largo, born June 6, 1923, passed away May 13, 2011. "He was a man who stood tall amongst men." Our father passed on peacefully surrounded by his 4 children, Jan, Lynn, Sue, and Jack at his side and was comforted with our love, our warm hands, our hugs and our compassion. He was a kind and loving father and a generous and ethical man. At a very early age, he became a top national sales person. He served in the military, and later started his own very successful Manufacturer's Representative business. As former commodore of the Clearwater Yacht Club, he was well known in the FORA and SORC racing circuits. He captained his own sail boats ("West Wind" and then "Fairwind") competitively in local and international races. Our dad was well known for his love of dogs, particularly "Chance" who was his scruffy little loyal mixed breed terrier whom he rescued from an animal shelter and never left his side. He was an avid volunteer in the community known for his love of jokes and his sense of humor. He will be lovingly missed and fondly remembered by his four children; his grandchildren; his brother George, family and dear friends. ECKERLE, Anna Madge (Johnson) 95, passed May 13th, at her home. Madge was born in North Manchester, IN and married Lee Eckerle in 1933. Madge and Lee moved to Florida in 1979. Lee preceded her in death in 2003. They have one child, Bill Eckerle, who is married to Judy Eckerle and they live in Seminole. Madge was a wonderful mother and home keeper with a deep passion for duplicate bridge, having obtained the rank of Silver Life Master. She will be interred in Flora, IN, next to her beloved husband. In addition to Bill and Judy, Madge and Lee are survived by their grandchildren Lisa (Chuck) Cox, Laurie (Mike) Metz, George (Marcella) Eckerle. HENDERSON, Donald M. 86, died May 13, 2011 at home in St. Petersburg of complications from Leukemia. In WWII he served in the U.S. Army as a motorcycle courier and MP in North Africa and as the head of the MP motor pool garage in occupied Rome. He had a successful Triumph-BMW-Yamaha dealership in Detroit for thirty years. He was a Michigan state champion ice racer and flat tracker. In 1980 he moved to St. Petersburg and became a sailor, yacht captain, and rigger. He is survived by 4 children: Joni, Don (Jill), Gary, and Andy; 3 grandchildren: Matthew, Bridget and Heidi Witt;4 great-grandchildren. Don is loved by friends and family around the world. Captain Don's ashes will be scattered, as he wished, in the Gulf by the Neptune Society. The family asks friends who wish to remember Don to make donations to the Suncoast Hospice. A celebration of Don's life will be scheduled later.

OSGOOD, Lawrence "Larry" Edward died at the HPH Hospice in Brooksville, March 12, 2011. He was born to Neil and Betty Osgood, Feb. 2, 1951, the third of 3 sons. He attended Gulfport Elementary, Marthon Elementary and Boca Ciega High School, class of 1970. Larry spent most of his life on the water in the family trade of commercial fishing, building and repairing boats and as a Service Manager of two marinas located on Pine Island in Lee County. Larry was a Master OMC & Yamaha Marine Mechanic. He was married for 22 years to Kathleen Miller Osgood. He spent his entire life in Florida living in the Florida Keys, Gulfport, Bokeelia, & Monticello, FL. He is survived by his loving family and friends, and will be missed by all who knew him. SIMPSON, Rosemary V. 84, of St. Petersburg, passed away unexpectedly. She was active and in good health until her death May 5, 2011. Born Aug. 1, 1926, in Pinellas Park. She was a homemaker and just recently returned to St. Petersburg in 2009, from Greenville, SC. Rosemary is survived by her sister Evelyn Washer and sons David Simpson (Connie) of St. Petersburg and Jeffrey Simpson of Anderson, SC, as well as grandchild Caroline Simpson and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Pasadena Community Church Goodwin Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA.

SLIBY, Joseph 80, of Seminole, died May 14, 2011. Mr. Sliby was Catholic by faith and served honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He is predeceased by his beloved Ann in 1994. STRATTON, Joy Myra went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 29, 2011 at the age of 83. She was born on Sept. 15, 1927, in Cincinnati, OH and moved with her family to St. Petersburg, in 1961. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be truly missed by all that knew and loved her. Joy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Donald C. Stratton; her brother, Alan Price; sons, Steve Stratton and Marc Stratton; daughters, Kathy Clemens, Sally DeLeon and Wendy Weatherford. She also leaves behind 10 loving grandchildren, 11 great-grand-children, 3 nieces, 1 nephew and countless friends. WARE, Vivian L. age 78, passed away peacefully at home on May 12, 2011. Vivian was a nurse, and continued to take care of her family and friends well after she retired. She loved family, WV Mountaineers, reading, and was an avid sports fan. Husband, Charles Ware preceded her in death, and she is survived by her children Charles Ware of VA and Carole and Johnny McKenzie of Largo, Toni Weddel of Clearwater; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
