After yesterday's Pinellas school board workshop, furloughs look even more likely for thousands of district employees. To give board members an idea of how the pain may be spread, the finance team put together 15 scenarios based on varying numbers of furlough days for different employee groupings. Each scenario has a different bottom line in terms of savings, ranging from $3.27 million to $13.8 million.
Under the least painful scenario, instructional staff would get one furlough day; 12-month administrators would get three. Under the worst, instructional would get five and 12-month administrators would get nine. Click on the link below to see them all in detail. (First click on "comments.")
