'WONDERLAND' PROVIDES A HAPPY ENDING

Tampa-born musical Wonderland may have ended its Broadway run already, but at least a couple of people have taken home a heckuva souvenir. Co-stars Janet Dacal and Darren Ritchie got engaged onstage immediately following the final performance in New York on Sunday. If only they had done that after every show. Ritchie, who played Jack the White Knight, proposed to erstwhile Alice actress Dacal after the curtain call following the 3 p.m. performance at the Marquis Theatre, BroadwayWorld.com reports. Dacal shouted, "I said yes!" to the audience, and a good time was had by all. Wonderland closed after 31 previews and 33 regular performances, but will soon be going on a national tour. The Frank Wildhorn musical was developed as part of the Broadway Genesis Project at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts and premiered there in December.
