Move over, Web surfing. Netflix movies now take up more of the Internet capacity going into North American homes. A study by Sandvine shows that Netflix movies and TV shows account for nearly 30 percent of traffic during peak evening hours, compared with less than 17 percent for Web browsing. Only about a quarter of homes with broadband subscribe to Netflix, but watching movies and TV shows online takes up a lot of bandwidth compared with Web surfing, e-mail and practically every other Internet activity.

General Mills is buying a controlling stake in yogurt company Yoplait from French investment firm PAI Partners and cooperative dairy group Sodiaal for about $1.15 billion. The acquisition of the world's second-largest yogurt maker would build on General Mills' aim to increase its health and wellness product portfolio and expand operations in France, where it already produces several products.

Disney has applied for a trademark on the name "Seal Team 6," the name of the unit of specially trained Navy SEALs that killed Osama bin Laden in a raid in Pakistan earlier this month. Three applications filed May 3 - the day after the raid - with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office by Disney Estate an intention to use the mark for a range of products, including clothing, toys and games.

Mutual funds, pension funds and other major money managers snapped up shares in online networker LinkedIn Corp. for $45 each, the top of the company's expected IPO range. That gives LinkedIn a market value of $4.3 billion,the highest for a U.S. Internet company taking its first bow on Wall Street since Google went public nearly seven years ago. LinkedIn's shares will make their market debut today on the New York Stock Exchange.
