Chicago and Tampa Bay have a mystical connection. Our sun-splashed home is full of transplants from Frank Sinatra's kinda town. With no baseball team to call our own for so many years, the '80s generation was weaned on the Chicago Cubs on WGN. And the radio of our youth was filled with the chart-scorching tunes of a band that bears that city's name.
Maybe that's why Chicago keeps coming to town. Seems like not a season passes without Robert Lamm and company selling out a local venue. This spring, it will be Clearwater's Ruth Eckerd Hall on April 20. Tickets go on sale Saturday, Jan. 28, at noon. [Click here to find a show in a town near you.]
Hard to believe but Chicago only had two No. 1 hits during the '80s. If you listen to the Stuck in the '80s podcast, you know the answer to this already, but who else out there can name the pair of hits?
