Lakewood's Rodney Adams, the Times' No. 5-rated prospect in the 2013 class, has added Oklahoma and Toledo to his collection of football offers.
Adams, one of the most explosive offensive players in Tampa Bay, also has offers from San Diego State and USF. He had a breakout junior season in which he caught 25 passes for 819 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Oklahoma is making a strong play in Tampa Bay this season, having secured a verbal commitment from Armwood's Eric Striker and offering Gibbs cornerback Gary Simon, both in the Times' Top 25 Blue Chippers for 2012.
Oklahoma is also one of two finalists for former Gibbs lineman Will Latu, who has competed the last two seasons in junior college.
Toledo has had luck before at Lakewood, pulling in athlete Bernard Reedy in 2009. Reedy, a wide receiver for the Rockets, was an MVP in Toledo's bowl game and on more than a few lists as one of the top receivers heading into next season.
