For her upcoming wedding to Jason Trawick, Britney Spears is getting one heck of a gift from dad Jamie: Control over her own finances again. The U.K.'s Daily Mail says that after four years of controlling his 30-year-old daughter's money, he plans to give up the court-ordered conservatorship that started in 2007, back when she was treated at a mental hospital and lost custody of her two sons briefly. "Jamie wants to go to court in early February so Britney will be a free woman in every sense when she marries," a source says.

Celeb's VIP audition
If you were shocked to see Jim Carrey's daughter Jane sing Something to Talk About on Sunday's American Idol, you shouldn't. It seems she was fast-tracked through the routine because of her daddy. "She didn't have to sleep outside and wait for hours hoping to audition like everyone else," a source told RadarOnline. "She basically had an appointment and showed up!" In any event, Jane was chosen to go to Hollywood, so you'll get to see plenty more of her getting the VIP treatment later this season.

Together or not?
There's been a lot of chatter on the gossip beat that perennial nice guy Johnny Depp and his longtime partner, Vanessa Paradis, are splitsville. Finally, one of them spoke out and confirmed ... well, nothing. "You know, when I eat three peas, I'm pregnant. When I visit a city, I'm buying a house. In the winter I separate, in the summer I marry," Paradis told radio station Europe 1 on Monday, according to USA Today. "It's been 15 years since I've been getting married every year. In addition I have to answer all these rumors!" Vanessa was at the Paris premiere of her new movie, Cafe de Flore, notably without Depp or their kids Lily-Rose and Jack, who were probably still in Los Angeles.
