We were thinking Demi Moore wasn't looking too well the last time we saw a photo of her, and it seems we were right. The 49-year-old actress reportedly had a seizure Monday night and was taken to a hospital for complications from anorexia, reports say.
"She collapsed after having an epileptic seizure," a source told RadarOnline, which noted Moore has gotten sickly since splitting with Ashton Kutcher. "Demi is in getting treated for anorexia, as well as other issues that caused her seizure. She has not taken care of her health at all lately and has lost a ton of weight."
The site also says Demi is going to start rehab for some form of substance abuse, although her camp denied that. The report may be a mix-up - the byproduct of other sites saying that Demi Lovato is going back to rehab (Lovato's people deny that one, too). Then again, TMZ swears Demi Moore collapsed Monday after doing whip-its, which you may know as huffing nitrous oxide. You know, like some bored seventh-grader.
"Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health," her rep said in a statement to People. "She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends."
Exhaustion is often a fun, code-named way of saying rehab (really, anyone with kids can laugh extra loud about stars being treated for "exhaustion"). They also note she spent a wild night out with daughter Rumer Willis on Jan. 11, and showcased her self-destructive behavior -- that's the pair at a charity event in Beverly Hills three days later; Moore does seem a bit more waifish than normal.
Demi went to Beacher's Madhouse at the Roosevelt Hotel with her 23-year-old daughter and her friends and spent the night not drinking and fawning over 90210 actor Ryan Rottman, who is 27. Really, was marrying 33-year-old Ashton not enough? You'd think this cougar would have learned.
"When she first arrived, she kept to herself ... but she started loosening up and getting into party mode," a source told People, adding Demi was drinking Red Bull and not booze. "She seemed really happy to be out with her daughter's friends."Yeah, because they probably all wanted to know what Kutcher was like.
