THE SIGNS ARE RIGHT

In our annual list of the top recruits in the Tampa Bay area, the talent is so deep we could have gone way beyond 25. The list kicks off with Times' blue chip player of the year, Nelson Agholor. Colleges will sigh with relief Wednesday, Signing Day.

1. Nelson Agholor

School: Berkeley Prep

Position: WR

Height/weight: 6-2/180

Colleges: Looking at Florida, FSU, USC, Notre Dame, Oklahoma

Skinny: Agholor ran for nearly 2,000 yards while playing three ways for state semifinalist Bucs.

2. Dante Fowler

School: Lakewood

Position: DE

Height/weight:6-3/230

College: Committed to FSU

Skinny: Despite missing four games, he finished the season with double digits in sacks.

3. Tyriq McCord

School: Jefferson

Position: DE

Height/weight:6-3/220

College: Committed to Miami

Skinny: This one-time couch potato is now coveted by Division I-A coaches. The four-star recruit tallied 111/2 sacks and 5.9 tackles a game.

4. Kent Taylor

School: Land O'Lakes

Skinny: He totaled 480 receiving yards and five TDs despite missing time with a hand injury.

5. Matt Jones

9. Cody Waldrop

Skinny: South Carolina commit was arguably the area's top guard.

10. Kevin McCoy

11. Gary Simon

Skinny: Team's biggest playmaker recorded seven interceptions.

12. Bennie Coney

17. Shelldon Lewinson

Skinny: Wake Forest commit finished with 80 tackles up front.

18. Earl Moore

School: Hillsborough

Skinny: Was the rock in the middle of Hillsborough's 3-4 defense.

19. Trey Dudley-Giles

School: Pasco

Position: ATH

Skinny: The speedster finished with 23 touchdowns and almost 1,700 all-purpose yards.

20. Austin Aikens

Skinny: Big-play receiver (33 receptions, 609 yards, 10 TDs) averaged 18.5 yards a catch.

21. Greg Windham

Skinny: Well-armed prospect threw for 20 TDs and amassed 2,124 yards in the 2011 season.

22. Sean Culkin

School: Indian Rocks Christian

Skinny: Finished with 55 receptions for 981 yards and 18 touchdowns

23. Jacob Guy
