BAKER, Bliss A. 90, of Clearwater, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 20, 2012. He is survived by Helen, his wife of 69 years, their two sons: Larry and Dean; daughter-in-law, Janet; three grandchildren: Heather Calanni, Kristin Trefz, and Gregory Baker; five great- grandchildren: Ashley Crock, Samantha Trefz, Aaron Trefz, Nicolas Calanni and A.J. Calanni. Bliss honorably served his country for four years in the Army during WWII and had a successful 36 year career with General Motors as a supervisor in the Material Department of the GM Bristol Road Stamping Plant in Flint MI. After their retirement, Bliss and Helen enjoyed many years as snowbirds between Michigan and Florida before moving permanently to Clearwater, in 2005. BOSSOM, Mary M. of Ruskin, peacefully passed away Jan. 8, 2012, at Life Path Hospice in Sun City Center. Mary served our country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corp from November, 1944 to May, 1946. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Borden's Dairy in Lake Charles, LA, retiring after 30 years, at which time she and her husband, Jack moved to Apollo Beach. Mary was very active in ABWA in LA and in 1971, was named Woman of the Year. She remained active in ABWA in Florida, was an avid golfer, loved to work in the garden especially with her orchids and enjoyed traveling all over the world. She was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Texada, and her husband, Jack P. Bossom I. She is survived by her step children, Patsy (Dorsey) Peterman, Linda (Jeffrey) Peterman I, Jack Bossom II; her grandchildren, G. CHASE, Frederick Jr. 80, died on Jan. 3, 2012 in Waukegan, IL. He was the son of Virginia Gerould and Frederick Chase II. He attended Clearwater High School and Phillips Exeter Academy. He graduated from Dartmouth College, followed by service in the U.S. Marine Corps. He graduated from the U.F. law school, then practiced law for 37 years in New Port Richey, where he was a charter member of the Rotary Club. Fred was predeceased by one son, Nathan Chase. He is survived by his partner, Lynne Atherton of Waukegan, IL; sister, Beth Chase of Raleigh, NC; brother, John and wife Priscilla Chase of Palm Harbor; and son, Robert Chase of Denver, CO; also by Nathan's widow, Susan Chase; his former wife, Nancy Dickinson Chase; son, Daniel Chase with partner Jennifer Morgan; and two grandsons, Sam and Benjamin Chase, all of whom reside in Baltimore, MD. CHASE, Hobart A. Jr. "Hobie" 76, of Madeira Beach, formerly of Quincy, MA, died peacefully, Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012 at the Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. He was born in Quincy MA and has lived in Florida for 25 years. Hobie was a retired manager for the N.E. Telephone Company in Boston and also was a former salesman at the Stella Marine in Florida. He served as a staff sergeant in the Army National Guard. Hobie was a frequent patron and enjoyed his many friendships at Walt's Fish House and Spotos Restaurant in Madeira Beach. GENTILE, Minerva of Tampa, passed away peacefully, at St. Joseph's Hospital, on Jan. 22, 2012. Minerva was 86 years old. Minerva was born Aug. 8, 1925, in Saugatuck, CT. Growing up in a large family, Minerva developed a love for physical fitness and crochet. Both Minerva and her husband, Louie, enjoyed bowling, dancing, as well as figure roller skating. LEE, Irene Simone Hernandez "Renee" was born in Tampa, on Oct. 28, 1927. After more than a decade of Alzheimer's, she passed peacefully into eternal rest on Jan. 19, 2012. Irene was a lifelong native of Tampa. She attended Tampa Bay Blvd. Elementary School, West Tampa Jr. High and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1946, where she had been a member of the band and a majorette. MYERS, Theodore Allen Jr. 46, of Seffner, passed away Jan. 8, 2012. Ted was born in Lima, OH to Theodore Myers Sr. and Shirley Myers and was the older of their two sons. Ted was preceded in death by his father in July, 1997. He is survived by his loving wife, Leslie of 19 years; a beautiful and talented daughter, Danielle Marie (22 years old); and a heartwarming granddaughter, Mily Delaney (4 years old); also his mother, Shirley Miller; brother, Lee Myers Both of New Port Richey. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and lots of great friends who will miss him very much. Ted was a loving son, brother, husband, father and loved spending much of his time with his granddaughter Mily who called him "DOO-DAH". Ted's wishes were to be cremated and his wishes were carried out on Wednesday night the 19th. Ted served our country for 2 years and was honorably discharged from the United States Army. PERRY, Irene Shull was born in Indianapolis on May 20, 1922, and died Jan. 18, 2012, in Lake City. Irene graduated from Arsenal Technical High School and was a long time employee of the Personnel Department, and a retiree of The Indianapolis Star/News, who resided in Largo, from 1993-2010. Survivors include daughters Saralee Perry, Lake City, and Michele (Todd) DeMichieli, Indianapolis; grandchildren, Tammy (John) Jennings, Mark (Melanie) Simmonds, Abbie and Sam DeMichieli and great-granddaughters, Claire and Audrey Irene Jennings. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.J. Perry and daughter, Sue Ann Simmonds. Interment will be with her husband in Arlington National Cemetery. PUGLIESE, Anthony Victor 80, of Mulberry, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012. He was born on Aug. 25, 1931 in Roselle Park, NJ. He was a United States Navy Retired Veteran. Tony loved to be on the water, he enjoyed going on cruises ships and his own private boat. He was a proud Italian American and the love he had for his family was his passion. Tony was predeceased in death by his devoted wife, Geraldine.
