SoundBytes: SBTRKT, Sponge, Tank and more

-- Well whoa now, this is unexpectedly amazing: The masked British DJ/producer cipher known as SBTRKT -- a favorite of Radiohead and Drake, among others -- is coming to Orpheum in Ybor City, according to Consequence of Sound. Tickets are $16-$20, and they'll go onsale via Daddy Kool on Feb. 3. This is going to be a seriously interesting show. (Between now and then, if you want to sound cool, it's pronounced "subtract.")

-- Wow, who could ever foreseen Sponge coming to the Bay area? The '90s rockers behind Plowed and Molly are performing at, of all places, Pastimes Pub in Sarasota on Feb. 9. Click here for details.

-- And hey, look at this: Side Splitters in Tampa has booked two interesting acts in the coming months. Former SNL star Tim Meadows will perform there March 29-April1 (tickets are $20-$27), and the delightfully dirty Amy Schumer will be there April 19-21. Click here for details on both shows.

-- Do you know a hard-working single mom who might like to get serenaded by R&B singer Tank on Feb. 16 in Tampa? 95.7 The Beat wants to make that happen.

-- Cool twist for the monthly Rock the Park event at Curtis Hixon Park in Tampa: A national artist will be there on March 1. Brooklyn singer-songwriter Christopher Paul Stelling will perform.
