WEEKI WACHEE ENGLISH TEACHER TOPS FOR 2012

Kimberly Koparan, an English teacher at Weeki Wachee High School, was named Hernando County Teacher of the Year on Friday night, marking the second year in a row that an English teacher from the school has won the honor. The winner was announced during a banquet at the Palace Grand in Spring Hill. Koparan, 40, teaches English 3, English 3 co-teach and gifted English honors at the school and has been with the Hernando school district for 14 years. In 2011, the honor went to Weeki Wachee English teacher Angela Kennedy.
