Police arrested two men and a woman in connection with a string of at least six vehicle burglaries in Gulfport last week, officials said.
Craig Steven McComas, 27, Brian A. George, 27, and Tiffany M. Kenton, 24, were arrested after a Gulfport police officer witnessed them committing a burglary from 10 feet away, according to the Gulfport Police Department.
The trio had been tracked by police using patterns in the crimes and a victim's description, officials said. They were seen walking into several yards and driveways before the officer witnessed an actual burglary, police said.
Two suspects were arrested right away, but one man ran and hid behind a house, forcing police to call in a police dog team, officials said.
George was charged with several counts of burglary, armed burglary and resisting arrest. McComas was charged with three counts of burglary and resisting arrest. Kenton was charged with being a principal in the crime. All three remained in the Pinellas County Jail on Tuesday.
McComas and George have several prior arrests in the county on charges including drugs, battery and theft, according to jail records.
