CHAMBER HONORS 42 TOP GRADUATES

The Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Kiwanis Club of Brooksville, through its foundation, and the Kiwanis Club of Spring Hill, hosted the 38th annual Student Recognition Banquet at the Palace Grand in Spring Hill on April 26.

Forty-two outstanding graduating students were recognized from public and private Hernando County schools.

Nine students were awarded scholarships, including: Syed Sagher of Springstead High, $500 community service award; Anna Clark of Hernando High, $500 entrepreneurial/business award; Victoria Selby of Springstead High, $500 leadership award; Lazarus De La Rosa of Central High, $500 technical/vocational award; Ana Bui of Central High, $500 special recognition; Danielle Vance of Central High, $250 academics award; Alexis Beetz of Nature Coast Technical High, $500 academics award; Erica Hampson of Nature Coast Technical High, $500 academics award, and Reema Patel of Springstead High, $1,000 academics award.
