ROLLOVER CRASH INJURES 2

Two people were hospitalized Tuesday after four cars were involved in a crash that snarled morning traffic at the busy intersection of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard and U.S. 19.

A gray Chevy Cobalt heading east on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard about 10 a.m. drove into westbound traffic and rolled over, officials said. A Nissan Altima, GMC truck and Toyota Corolla alsowere damaged.

The Cobalt driver was taken to Bayfront Medical Center; the Altima driver was taken to Morton Plant Hospital. Their injuries were not life-threatening, police said.

Stephanie Kohn-Goodyear, 16, was in the backseat of the Cobalt looking at her cellphone when the crash happened."The next thing you know, we're flipped," she said.

Kohn-Goodyear said she was in the car with three friends. All of them, including the injured driver, were wearing seat belts.
