Fancy a little Francis Albert? Then this Sinatra tribute artist is up your alley tonight in Spring Hill.

He does it Frank's way.

In fact, Bill Stabile has been singing the songs of Ol' Blue Eyes since his parents gave him his first Frank Sinatra album, Sinatra and Swingin' Brass, when he was just 8 years old. The album (which Stabile played until it wore out) includes hits such as I Get a Kick Out of You and They Can't Take That Away From Me.

"I began a love affair with Sinatra's music almost 50 years ago," Stabile said. But it wasn't until the 1990s, while working as a postal inspector in Brooklyn, that Stabile decided to take it to the stage, performing Sinatra hits such as New York, New York, Strangers in the Night, Come Fly With Me and The Lady is a Tramp.

When Stabile and his wife retired to Citrus County six years ago, he decided to perform Sinatra full time. He performs his show, Songs of Sinatra - a Tribute to Ol' Blue Eyes, at venues throughout Florida.

"I don't consider myself an impersonator," Stabile said. "I consider myself a tribute artist."

And tonight, Stabile brings his show to the Lake House to kick off the Spring Hill Community Association's Summer Cabaret Series.

"It is a great show. Bill does a very good imitation of Sinatra," said association president Eddie Lawrence. "He has (Sinatra's) nuances, manners and stage movements."

Lawrence said that when Stabile performed in the cabaret series last summer, the show sold out. In fact, the audience enjoyed the show so much, they gave him two standing ovations.

The evening will include dinner, catered by Papa Joe's Italian Restaurant. The menu includes pasta, meatballs, sausage, salad, bread and dessert.

For those unfamiliar with Papa Joe's, they have a "great reputation," Lawrence said.

After tonight's show, the Summer Cabaret Series will continue with Kim Evans and the Ultimate Band on July 28 and Lil Deuce Coupe on Aug. 17.

"The cabaret series are popular," Lawrence said. "These indoor shows do much better than our outdoor shows. . . . Most times, the clientele here don't want to take chances with the weather."

As for Stabile, he can next be seen at Maggiano's Little Italy in Tampa on July 13, then the Oaks of Clearwater on July 18. For a full schedule, visit his website,
