In the wake of standout performances at a four-day team camp at USF, Jesuit two-way linemen Robby Garcia and Cameron Ruff have been offered by the Bulls, OL coach Brian McNulty and head coach James Harrell confirmed Thursday.
"(The Bulls coaches) were impressed with both of them, the work ethic, the leadership," McNulty said. "They were able to see them in action for four days, and the kids worked their butts off and got rewarded with a scholarship (offer)."
Garcia (6-foot-3, 255 pounds) and Ruff (6-3, 290) are expected to serve as bookends of Jesuit's 2012 offensive line and provide run-stuffing presences on the defensive side. Ruff had 14 pancake blocks, 19 tackles and a sack in 2011; Garcia had 31 tackles, eight sacks and six pancakes.
USF has offered four members of Jesuit's 2012 team; rising junior LB/TE Vincent Jackson and rising senior WR Travis Johnson were offered previously.
