I've never been a big fan of bands using odd punctuation in their names. Wham! for example. As if "Wham?" was an option. I suppose maybe if I asked, "What band started a reunion rumor this week, only to be debunked 24 hours later" and you tentatively replied "Wham?" ... well, there you have it.
No need to worry. That's about all the punctuation talk you'll get from this week's podcast -- another of our '80s News Now series -- which was unfortunate enough to be recorded before the other shoe fell on Wham!(!)'s reunion plans. But there's plenty more, including a mini-celebration of Paul McCartney's 70th birthday (along with our favorite tunes of his from the '80s) and the never-dying rumors of a Top Gun sequel.
Special challenge: Count the number of times that co-host Sean Daly proclaims total bliss at finally being single again. Submit the winning number for a chance to win a date with him! (Added bonus if you have a washer/dryer and will let him do laundry during the date.)
