The net of scholarship offers USF is casting across the bay has reached Port Tampa.
Robinson two-way lineman Bruce Hector has been offered by the Bulls coach Skip Holtz, Knights assistant Shawn Taylor confirmed Saturday. It's the first BCS offer for Hector.
One of five returning starting offensive linemen for Robinson, Hector (6-foot-3, 270 pounds) picked up the offer after attending an individual camp Saturday at USF. He's the county's third two-way lineman to be offered by USF in the last three days, joining Jesuit's Robby "Bronco" Garcia and Cameron Ruff.
A second-team pick on the Times' all-Hillsborough County squad last season, Hector also has been offered by Akron, Ball State and Bowling Green.
