Pinellas County officials are cracking down on owners who refuse to keep their property in good repair. County commissioners agreed last month to raze the buildings on these three properties in the unincorporated Lealman area. All are in such bad repair that no one can live in them, county code officials say. And, they say, the owners have refused to make repairs despite repeated efforts by code enforcement officers and the imposition of fines and liens on the properties. One home, 4550 39th St. N, has amassed $2.3 million in fines. Another, at 5046 37th St. N, has a code lien of about $462,000 on the property. The third, 4624 24th St. N, has a total of about $373,000 in fines. The unincorporated Lealman area is located generally between St. Petersburg and Pinellas Park between I-275 and Park Street. Kenneth City divides the area into two zones.
