Authorities are searching for two armed men who carjacked a bank customer early Monday and fired two shots at the victim as he ran away.
Police say the victim stopped at a Bank of America on N 56th Street and two men approached and ordered him to withdraw money from the ATM. The victim escaped, and one of the suspects fired a shotgun. The victim wasn't injured. Authorities believe each suspect was armed.
The two men took the man's vehicle, a black cherry Mazda CX-7.
Police say one of the suspects may have been involved in two similar incidents at the bank this month.
The first occurred at 9:40 p.m. June 5 when a victim was approached by an armed man and forced to withdraw cash. The suspect forced the victim to drive him to another location, where he fled. On June 17, an armed man ordered a victim at the ATM to withdraw money. The suspect fled when he was unable to get the money.
