Florida may be without senior forward Erik Murphy when the Gators host Wisconsin Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
Florida coach Billy Donovan said Murphy missed Monday's practice suffering from nausea and headaches, and his status is unknown.
"Murphy right now has not practiced (Monday), and I don't know if he'll practice today,'' Donovan said. He's got an illness and he's been sick. Is he out, definitely? No, I would hope that he could play."
Florida has been hit with a rash of problems that have led Donovan to have to work with multiple lineup combinations early in the season.
Junior forward Casey Prather (multiple concussions), and guard Scottie Wilbekin (suspension) are out. Tonight, they may add senior forward Erik Murphy to the list, after he spent the past two days suffering from nausea and headaches due to an illness.
With junior transfer forward/center Damontre Harris out with a torn labrum, the Gators' practice consisted of eight scholarship players, two walk-ons and a transfer.
"We've had to battle things early here in the year,'' Donovan said. "There's been some things that have thrown some wrinkles for us right before the season started of being able to make adjustments. So I think this is a game that gives us a chance to see what kind of adjustments we need to make as a team and where we need to get better."
