Schiano: Wright excused for "personal reasons"

When Bucs cornerback Eric Wright was not at practice Thursday, it was speculated because it was due to a setback in an Achilles injury he suffered during Sunday's game.

After all, Wright missed most of Sunday's game, and was limited Wednesday with the injury.

But coach Greg Schiano said Wright was excused for undisclosed "personal reasons." That begged the question whether Wright's absence was related to a report last month by Fox Sports' Jay Glazer that he's facing a four-game suspension for using Adderall - maybe he could be appealing it with the league?

When asked, Schiano only reiterated Wright was excused for personal reasons. "If he's healthy, he'll play on Sunday," Schiano said.

Of course, Wright's personal reasons could be just that - personal - whether it's related to his family or himself. But it certainly raised a few questions at One Buc Place.
