A bicyclist died after being hit by a car Thursday night on Drew Street near the intersection of Evergreen Avenue, police said. The bicyclist, an adult man, was riding east just after 6:30 p.m. in the curb lane on Drew Street when a 1994 Buick hit him from behind, authorities said. He died at the scene of the crash, authorities said. Police did not immediately release the man's identity, pending notification of his next-of-kin. The driver of the Buick was identified late Thursday as Milton Lee Smallwood, 54, of Clearwater. It was not immediately clear if he would face any charges as police were still investigating the crash. Drew Street was closed in both directions as traffic detectives investigated. No other information was immediately available.

Witness names in Martin case leaked
Prosecutors, defense attorneys and judges in the Trayvon Martin murder case have gone to great lengths to protect the names of witnesses, fearing they'd be hounded by reporters, curiosity-seekers or worse. But lead prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda has inadvertently leaked the names of a dozen witnesses, violating a court order. It's not clear what will happen now and whether he'll face any sort of sanction or punishment from the judge in the case, Debra S. Nelson in Sanford. None of the leaked witnesses is expected to be a major figure at George Zimmerman's second-degree murder trial. They include several of his neighbors and two black Sanford community leaders who were at a U.S. Department of Justice meeting several months ago.
